A New Way to Travel
I took a week-long trip to Beijing this week, and my goal was to visit and see as many sights as possible with my group while still enjoying a comfortable vacation. It was very interesting to research a trip to China, a country that’s so different from the rest of the world
I approached the task from an engineer’s perspective and, after doing some manual research, turned to Claude.
Over the course of several days, I built a detailed plan with possible branches in HTML pages, and then decided to create an app...

I won’t write much—I’ll just share my overall impressions
-
It was very convenient to copy addresses from the app into AMap or DiDi
-
I was impressed by how accurately the plan estimated the time and money I’d need to spend each day on taxis or small expenses. Notifications about upcoming activities were sometimes very timely
-
All the places marked on the map were genuinely interesting and delicious

-
The tab for quickly accessing documents was convenient and allowed me to show what I needed right away.
-
The phrasebook didn’t help much, and it was still easier to use a translator.
Overall, I enjoyed the experience, and I’ll be using similar apps on my other big trips
